Ruud van Buren

Ruud van Buren has been invol­ved in safe­ty issues of various small and lar­ge events sin­ce 1998 and star­ted at MOJO Con­certs in Janu­ary 2013 as Health & Safe­ty (H&S) Mana­ger. From 2025 on he is Event Safe­ty Mana­ger @ Crowd Care and is invol­ved in crowd manage­ment, per­mit appli­ca­ti­ons, coor­di­na­ti­on with local aut­ho­ri­ties, secu­ri­ty, safe­ty & mobi­li­ty issues for a varie­ty of events. He also pro­vi­des crowd manage­ment & H&S trai­ning and works on H&S rela­ted topics such as risk assess­ments and pro­vi­ding a healt­hy and safe working envi­ron­ment at various natio­nal & inter­na­tio­nal events.

Ruud is spe­cia­li­zed in indoor & sta­di­um events and fes­ti­vals such as Pink­pop, North Sea Jazz (Rot­ter­dam & Cura­çao), Blue Seas Fes­ti­val Cura­çao and the Hol­land Inter­na­tio­nal Blues Fes­ti­val in Grol­loo. In 2020 he was acti­ve as Health & Safe­ty Mana­ger for the Dutch Broad­cas­ting Orga­niza­ti­on (NOS) for the Euro­vi­si­on Song Con­test 2020 in Rot­ter­dam.

In addi­ti­on to being a safe­ty mana­ger, Ruud also has a pas­si­on for event tech­no­lo­gy and he also looks for oppor­tu­ni­ties to use (new) tech­no­lo­gy as well as pos­si­ble to increase safe­ty at events.

Ruud has been an acti­ve mem­ber of the Yourope’s YES Group sin­ce 2013 and sin­ce 2025 mem­ber of the manage­ment board of the YES Group.
